Hello, I am Shirley and welcome to @Køkken where I document and share my experiments and musings from the little culinary sanctuary which I call my kitchen.

If music is the universal language, then I consider Food to be the universal lineage that binds us all and the kitchen to be the temple where we worship and nurture this unique kinship.

I relish every moment in this comforting space where I derive satisfaction in making simple ingredients take on a form that is often greater than its sum of parts…. Seasoned cook, I am definitely not but with a little patience and passion, easy every day food can be equally memorable.
